Singapore- Some say it’s the Beverly Hills of Asia but don’t be fooled as it can be, and is, very affordable- especially when you know the ins and outs of this amazing, amazing country! It is actually a lot like Vegas, home!

What a magical city- there are so many places to go, people to see, things to do. Singapore really has it all. From the super luxury where you can shop down Orchard Street for anything designer, to Clarke Quay, which is the more casual side if bar/restaurant hopping is your thing! You can also drive over to Sentosa Island if you’re looking for the beach!
Getting to Singapore is also pretty easy- click the SkyScanner link above! United Airlines has a Dreamliner flight that takes you nonstop from SFO or LAX- it’s a 17 1/2hr flight hahahaha but it’ll get you there!! From there, my suggestion is either to walk, take the metro or better yet, Uber! Before getting to Singapore though, make sure that you have your Asian Cruise booked..it is the best way to see and get around all of Asia! Click here to see/book all Asian Cruises.
My Singaporean Recommendations:
- Orchard Road for a little shopping and sightseeing- this is the main road of Singapore which is all decorated with lights and incredible architecture. You will find the best malls and all the underground railroads here which are not to be missed!! Malls such as Ion and Paragon– but once you go down into the Metro station- you walk into a whole other world. In the metro you will find a lake, gondolas, a casino, shopping, an ice skating rink, restaurants and the best of all- the food court!!! The food courts in Asia are something else- they have like 1,000 restaurants with the most incredible foods ever, for the best prices ever!! I honestly would recommend any food court in any mall over any restaurant in Singapore (except of course my beloved below restaurant haha).
- Marina Bay Sands– this is the famous and infamous “3 buildings with the cruise ship on top.” This is the most spectacular building in the world. There are 3 towers and one is better than the other. You have to make your way to Tower 2 and go all the way up to the 57th floor to Spago Restaurant. This will be the best scene that you will ever encounter. It overlooks the infinity pool and all of Singapore- absolutely breathtaking. You can then go even further up to experience the MBS SkyPark which is the deck of the cruise ship on top!! No need to say more.
- Then you have your Merlion which is the Singapore mascot; it is a Fish with a Lion head fountain. Around there, you can find more shops and bars to hang at. You can then make your way to the Singapore Flyer to see every inch that Singapore has to offer. The Flyer WAS haha wasssss the biggest ferris wheel in the world- and then Vegas came along and built The Linq!
- Last but not least, you all HAVE to visit Gardens by the Bay. There you will find the amazing Botanical Gardens along with SuperTree Grove– WOW, WOW, WOW.
Now, on to my favorite restaurant ever! When ever in Singapore, you have to go! It is called Red House. There are multiple locations and the one I go to is the “Prinsep” location. Make sure to reserve as they book up quick!!
I go to this restaurant every time I am in Singapore 🙂 I even celebrated my 30th birthday this year there! You can do the tasting menu which are the photos above- this also comes with wine!! Or you can order a la carte- which I recommend. The tasting menu was amazing but I was rolling out of there haha so now I know exactly what to order so that I can walk out like a human being!!
Thank you Singapore, always, for the most memorable days of my life!
