Here we go guys!! The Dubai I know you have all been waiting to read about 🙂 You have seen my InstaStories in the meantime, but now you can read in depth of what to do, where to go and the ins & outs of this amazing city.
FIRST, FIRST, FIRST thing you need to do? Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall– this is stop number one and I honestly recommend doing this around 4/5pm so that you can catch the sunset. Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world and has to be one of the most magical things I have ever seen in my life. The view from the Dubai Mall is seriously something else. The mall has an amazing aquarium, shops, restaurants, Souqs outside and a man made lake that has a water show starting at 6pm following a light show all over the Burj Khalifa every 15 minutes. It is seriously a sight to see here in Dubai, and in your life. You can also pay to go all the way to the 148th floor- shit haha. I was good from seeing it from below. Check it out ↓↓↓↓↓
Afterward, we saw that the Metro was pretty much a sky train where you could see the whole city at higher speeds, so we took it from Deira to the Dubai Marina. All was great, until we had no idea what to expect next!! We got on the metro and pops was amazed at how nice and spacious it was- so we were just hanging around this nice big metro until this lady started to yell at him- “women only!!! get out or you get fined!!” WHAAAT?! It was the craziest thing in the world- Women have their own entrances into the metro (as well as mosques and other important places) as well as their own section so that they don’t have to be surrounded by men hahaha. My dad ran out of there ASAP, can you imagine getting a ticket for that?! wow… So pops was nice and overwhelmed by a thousand men hahaha and I could have taken a nap if I wanted to- it was glorious! haha Seeee yaaa pops!

Once we got off the metro, we ended up in a brand new part of Dubai. We thought we were going straight to “The JBR Beach” but some how ended up in this brand new, $4.6 million development- wow, it was beyond amazing. Skyscrapers, restaurants, yachts..EVERYWHERE. It was absolutely incredible, and a bit overwhelming haha.
This Marina is still under construction so there wasn’t too much going on when we were there so we took a little boat taxi and finally made our way to The JBR Beach. This too- what an incredible place!! There’s really something for EVERYONE in Dubai- except wine for me Hahahaha!!  Once you get to this little area, there are shops and restaurants to the left and right of you- you don’t know which way to turn!Â
You can turn left or right for any kind of shopping or food. You can explore all the 5 star hotels & hookah lounges or just relax with a nice little cabana or umbrella on the beach and bask in all the scenery. They are building a ferris wheel and I can only imagine the mission their on to beat our Linq! From the beach, you are even able to see the Atlantis as well as the Jumeirah Al Naseem to see all the people skydiving!! (don’t mind my lame photo of the hotel haha I wasn’t interested in visiting hotels this trip- I live in Vegas!) After walking and walking, shopping and snacking around- it became night time and a whole other side of this beach came out. We even discovered an arcade right in the middle of one of the streets and an area with people sitting in these wobble dreidel chairs- it was so adorable!
(There are more highlights on my Instagram page for all my weirdness- so don’t forget to follow me there too ♥ The whole town became illuminated with lights and it was absolutely breathtaking.Â
So now of course, it is dark in Dubai- what do I need to do next? EAT!! I walked past this restaurant and all I saw was this huge lobster picture with chucks of lobster meat over these amazing looking noodles and im like ooohh myyy what is this?! We discovered that it was Indian. I have never had Indian food and really neither has my dad so we decided to just go for it. We stopped at India Palace, right there on The Beach and I can say now that I have a whole new respect for Indian food.
OMG that was good.
From the left to the right: We started with Sunheri Jheenga; Fried Tiger Prawns marinated overnight in chili, lemon and coriander- fried to absolute perfection too- these people know what they’re doing! Second, we tried the Bohri Chaamd Biryani which was an amazing rice that you had to cover in the yogurt, with grilled Mutton (older lamb) on top- omg it was the BEST!! Third, we had the Baba Ghost. This was a bit scary to me because it looked like a bunch of meats in one haha but, when in Rome! Baba Ghost is a bowl of Lamb chunks with slow cooked minced older lamb (mutton), tomatoes, ginger and spiced to serious perfection. Don’t really know what I was putting in my mouth- but ehhh eff it haha.
Just when we thought we were paid and done, our server brought us the weirdest thing I had ever seen- they were a bunch of seeds in a bowl. One all white and the other colored. Mukhwas– She told us that it was a digestive for after dinner- we had spoonfuls of them each and it was AMAZING!! Little candy coated seeds- it was totally like eating Indian Good and Plenty candies haha which are actually my dad and I’s favorite- so we were so excited! Such an amazing experience at this restaurant that I can’t wait to explore more when I get to India now that I LOVE Indian food 🙂
There is so, so much more to this place though that even I was able to see but for my first time, I will take nothing but amazing takeaways home with me. This is a whole new world and I am so blessed to have been able to experience it, and the way that I did. I will DEFINITELY BE BACK- and you should come with me! In the meantime, enjoy the Frame of Dubai – the most amazing city in the world ♥Â
