I didn’t think it was possible to get more beautiful than the Maldives, until I got to the Seychelles. First stop was Mahé, the second was Praslin and the third was La Digue. Seychelles so far is definitely the highlight of this trip.
Mahé was the first day and I was a bit scared that I wasn’t going to be impressed as it was also overcast- but wow was I wrong. Once we arrived, we ran to a bunch of tour operators waiting for customers to take with them. I really had set in my mind that I wanted to see St. Anne Marine Park to snorkel and to Moyenne Island to see the turtles and luckily, that is exactly what we got to do!!
We took a nice speed boat first to Moyenne Island to see their national park where they have a bunch of 300 year old tortoises that you can feed. It was absolutely magical. We got to hike all the way up a mountain too to see all the other wildlife that there was- once we reached the top, the view was just insane. What an incredible sight to see- all these incredible rock formations there were, the people built this whole country around these boulders. Amazing.
After seeing the turtles, it was time to snorkel!!! I was soooo excited- so we got back on our speed boat and went over to St. Anne Marine Park where were able to see all kinds of fish and coral. We even had a glass bottom boat and could see everything for how clear the water was. I even almost died crossing a jelly fish infested water hahahaha but i survived. Check out my cutieeee snorkel gear!
I saw so much coral, swam with so many fish and even got to feed them that you can only imagine how hungry I was getting… (I know, I know, I’m always hungry). We jumped back on the speed boat to another little remote island where there was a whole Creole BBQ waiting for us!!! Omg it was so amazing- we ate under this huge tree and I tried Barracuda for the first time- it was boommmmbbb. Barracuda, Fish Curry, Lentils, BBQ Chicken and a Mango Salad- the perfect lunch. And in absolute paradise. Thank you so much Mahé for the most amazing day. If you ever make it to the Seychelles, try to stay here for at least a week as it is a magical, magical place!
Stay Tuned for the upcoming post on the most prestigious beach in the Seychelles ♥
